What is Mobile Desktop?
Mobile Desktop, a wireless client for Windows Terminal Services, Remote Desktop
and Virtual Network Computing (VNC), allows you to access and control your
server and desktop applications from your handheld device.
Supported Computers
Mobile Desktop can be used to connect to practically any kind of computer,
including Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Solaris, Novell Netware, QNX, OS/2 and many
more.
To create Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) connections, the computer you want to
access with Mobile Desktop must be running Windows Remote Desktop or Terminal
Services - communications protocols that run on most Windows computers.
To create VNC connections, a VNC server must be installed on the computer you
want to access. You can download a VNC server from various sources, including:

- BlackBerry Smartphones
- Nokia phones, Series 60 and 80
- Sony Ericsson phones
- Motorola phones
Security
- Terminal Services and Remote Desktop connections encrypted with the RC4
algorithm
- Passwords encrypted with TDES, or tunneling VNC connections over SSH
- BlackBerry Enterprise Server data encrypted with TDES or AES
