Rove’s Mobile Citrix Client is discontinued as of August 01, 2008
August 01, 2008 - OTTAWA - Rove Mobile Inc., the world's leading provider of enterprise software for handhelds, today announced that Mobile Citrix Client will be discontinued as of August 01, 2008. Mobile Citrix Client allows users to securely access any Windows application published on a Citrix Presentation Server.
The Mobile Citrix Client for BlackBerry is the only Citrix client software for mobile devices that is not offered for free and is not available for distribution via Citrix and its resellers. As a result, Rove has not been seeing the traction necessary to continue putting development resources into furthering the product scope. Discontinuing Mobile Citrix Client will allow Rove to further focus on its flagship product, Mobile Admin.
The Mobile Citrix Client for BlackBerry will no longer be available for sale as of August 14, 2008. Existing customers will still enjoy the world class support they have been receiving from Rove until August 14, 2009 or until their current maintenance contract expires, whichever is longer. All trial customers extending beyond August 01, 2008 will also receive support until their trial ends and be able to purchase the product once the trial has ended.
